Endogenous Lab is a collaborative venture started by Caterina Plenzick and Katrin Krupka, challenging future needs for materials, process and product design.
Being aware of geographical, cultural and social mutuations and with a deep understanding and appreciation for all kinds of professions, Caterina and Katrin are always on the run for new challenges open for new cooperations. The team is currently working together with reknown research institutes, foundations, galleries, partners from craft and industries around Europe.
As anthropologist and designer based between Portugal and Germany. Caterina's work today ranges from experimental material investigations and product concepts as well as spatial design, with a focus on critical approaches to sustainability and the significance of design practices as interpretation and translation of cultural heritage.
Since 2014, Katrin is working independently in the field of design and universitary teaching with a special focus on new sustainable materials and processes for product design. Furthermore she is coordinator of German Design Graduates, a platform to support young design talents.
Her studio is based in Berlin, she teaches at different Universities like UDK Berlin, Burg Giebichenstein, Berlin International, Bauhaus Universität Weimar and HBKsaar.
